The following is excerpted from a yahoo group message dated September 6, 2001: Two years ago, when I toured the Himalayas and made a pilgrimage to Mt. Kailas, considered the most holy mountain, I anointed many holy beings with our sacred healing oils and offered these oils to the sacred sites visited. One of the dearest and sweetest beings I met was the Milk Baba of Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu, Nepal. Milk Baba loved out oils, and had me not only apply oils to many people who came to visit him, including officials, villagers, members of the royal family, and hospice residents of the Mother Teresa hospital. His milk austerity is matched by his growing of his deep brown jatta (dreadlocks) for 52 years, ever since he received his Vaishanava initiation at the age of 18. He is 69 earth years old. For 20 years, this soft-spoken saint lived in the Ram Mandir, across the Bhagavati River from a cremation ground called Arya Ghat in the famed Pashupatinath Temple grounds of Kathmandu, Nepal. The incredible Milk Baba of Kathmandu is now in the United States. The great highlight of his visit is his chanting of the complete text of the Ramayana, an ancient and eternal epoch of ancient India. The Ramayana is one million years old, according to this living sage. It was enscribed 6000 years ago, and today it is chanted throughout India by learned priests with perfect synchronicity no matter which part of India is visited. It is the greatest of living oral traditions. It tells the eternal story of the struggle of good and evil, the light and the dark, and the ultimate triumph of rightousness over all the chicancery of the evil force. Its recitation is extremely powerful. The intoning of the ancient Sanskrit mantras is said to give many empowerments. Just hearing the syllables chanted by a great living master of this tradition is said to bring uncountable blessings and to strengthen the power of light and righteousness. RAM is a supreme syllable of great conduct and enlightenment. The training of a Shastri, a great learned teacher, begins at age 5 with enrollment with a living master of Sanskrit in a Veda Schala, or school of the Vedas, the ancient scriptures of India and continues throughout life with deep scriptural study and immersion in the teachings. Baba has travelled throughout 20 countries, including India and Nepal, where he is deeply loved and respected. Baba has been regaling us with tales from the great epochs, which he illustrates by singing classical Indian bhajans and accompanying himself on the harmonium, a modern Indian piano like instrument. Baba's commentary has included his observations of UFO's and their occupants on Mt. Kailas in Tibet, and stories from the ancient Puranas of India and their UFO episodes. He also relates the ancient epics to today's world events, including 911 and terrorist threats. Because of his milk austerity, Baba says, he is aware of many developments before they occur. He forecasted the fall of the Berlin Wall some three years before it happened and knew about the fall of the Babri Masjid. He predicted the tragic murders of India's Prime Ministers Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi a year before they occurred.
